Captain Eddy Anderson was born and raised in the Bay islands of Honduras. His diving story started a long time ago as a child when he received his first set of snorkeling equipment from one of his sisters. Little did she know that she was lighting a passion candle that perhaps would never burn down. Looking back, Captain Eddy realizes that that this was one of the best gifts he ever received.
For the past 28 years Captain Eddy has transformed that passion into a career. How many people can boast that they not only make a living from what they do best, but also really enjoy what they do. Captain Eddy has been with the Aggressor/Dancer Fleet since 1996. As with many of our long-term crew members, Eddy grew in his responsibilities. He started as a DM/Instructor/Video Pro on the Bay Islands Aggressor II. With additional training he was promoted to Engineer and after more coursework to First Mate. For the last five and half years he has been a Captain. During his tenure with the company he has worked on the Bay Island Aggressor II, III & IV, Utila Aggressor I and the Belize Aggressor III. Living (and working!) the "LiveAboard Lifestyle" is where he has learned, shared, and witnessed some of the most wonderful experience that the Ocean has to offer.
Today Captain Eddy is proud to have been entrusted as Captain on the "Queen of The Caribbean"- the Sun Dancer II, which is the largest LiveAboard in the Caribbean. Captain Eddy love's Belize and looks forward to meeting new friends and sharing his humble love and knowledge of all things above and beneath the Ocean, with his guests. He is always looking for a new adventure and knows there is still a lot of ocean to explore.

John Garroway (Divemaster) is originally from St Vincent and the Grenadines, John adopted Belize as his home in 1981. Now a true Belizean at heart John has worked on the reefs here for over 25 years and the last 17 of those years have been on Liveaboards. What John loves about being on Sun Dancer II is the diving (of course!) and mixing with people from around the world, especially if they will discuss politics with him. His unofficial ambition is to be Mayor of Belize! In the Sun Dancer II family John is like our favourite uncle and is affectionately known as King Willy

Terance Lavia (Chief Engineer) is another native of St Vincent and the Grenadines, although unlike John he has kept his nationality there and never fails to remind John of that fact!
He is a relative newcomer to the Liveaboard industry but has spent most of the last 10 years of his life at sea on both cargo and passenger vessels throughout the Caribbean. This experience really shows in the way he keeps Sun Dancer II’s systems running smoothly and is never afraid to roll up his sleeves and get on with he muckiest jobs around the ship.
What Terance likes about being aboard a Dancer vessel is the people he works with and, we suspect, the food!

Jerry Carcamo (Chef) has worked for the Dancer Fleet longer than anyone else aboard. He started on Wind Dancer on the Dominican Republic humpback whale charters and then worked on other Dancer Fleet yachts for several years before finally coming home to work on Sun Dancer II, here in his home country of Belize. He is from the north of the country, from a small town called Corozal near the border with Mexico, and says that he loves working with his extended family. He also gets to meet many interesting people each week and loves to cook! Jerry learnt to cook whilst working on Liveaboards and his favourite dish is Roast Duck.

Carlos Soler (Chef and Galley Assistant) comes from the north west of Belize, he says its where the Howler Monkeys come from, which might explain why he spends five weeks from every six at sea!
He has worked on Belize Liveaboards for 22 years and now puts that experience to good use with us as Chef and Galley Assistant.
What Carlos loves about being on a Dancer vessel is that there is always something new to learn. He considers the Sun Dancer as his home and the rest of the crew as his family and is always ready to smile and have a joke around the galley.

Barbara Anderson ( Galley Assistant and Stewardess) is from the beautiful town of Orange Walk (also known as Sugar City) located in the north of the country.
She has incredible experience that gives her an air of quiet confidence in her work as she has been on Belizean Liveaboards for over 27 years. She also truly loves what she does, and it shows as she sambas around the galley whilst serving dinner! Barbara can be found in the galley assisting the Chef in preparing one of the many meals or snacks that come out daily and it is usually her laughter that can be heard around the salon!
She says that the favorite part of working on a Dancer vessel is meeting new people and spending time with the rest of the crew.

Fermin Carpio (Divemaster) is from Guatemala but has lived most of his life here in Belize. He joined us two years ago as a Nightwatchman but he is bright and ambitious so quickly learnt to dive and became certified as a Divemaster. As well as diving, Femin specializes in carpentry and electrical work around the ship and is as likely to have a pencil tucked behind his ear as a mask on his face. What Fermin likes about being on a Dancer vessel is that he gets to dive every day and he is always ready to joke and laugh on the dive deck!

Karim Fuller (Divemaster) – Karim was born in Belize City and started his aquatic career as a commercial fisherman at a very young age. After being awarded a prestigious scholarship he became a local Divemaster and started working at the shop - Belize Dive Connection. After four years as a Divemaster, Karim earned his Instructor certification and has taught for four more years. Karim loves passing on his knowledge of the ocean to others and has always considered the ocean to be his office. He is great at finding small stuff on the reef that he enjoys sharing with other divers. When he is not underwater, Karim loves spending time with his kids and continues teaching them to love and appreciate the ocean as well.

Simon Villanueva (Divemaster) – Simon was born In Belize City and raised in Sarteneja Village, which is located on the northeast corner of Belize in the Corozal District that borders Mexico. Sarteneja Village is a fishing village where Simon was taught by his father to free dive for lobsters and conch and also to spearfish. The sea has always been his life since he was growing up and Simon has loved every moment of it. He has been diving for 11 years and has dived on the Pacific side of Costa Rica along with Roatan, Honduras and Belize. Simon feels it is an honor to be an ambassador for his native country of Belize, showing everyone underwater what Mother Nature has to offer. Simon is fond of saying, “Seaing is Belizeing and it's Unbelizeable”.

Elia Daniels (Stewardess) has been with us for seven years and when not aboard she lives with her other family in Belize City. She has spent seven years with us this is her first, and we hope only, Liveaboard.
What Elia loves about being aboard Sun Dancer II is that there are so many reasons to smile and laugh, and when not on duty she finds time to read.
